ARCHITECTURE

Solution block diagram.

The block diagram illustrates how the DCIM Appliance ingests, stores, and serves datacenter telemetry. Agents on managed devices (backplanes, servers, PDUs, environmentals) push metrics over gRPC/SNMP into the ingestion layer. A high-write time-series store keeps 12+ months hot. The rules engine runs anomaly, threshold, and predictive analytics in real time. Operators consume the result through the Datafabrix Guardian, Thermal, and Vision consoles — all running on the same appliance.

DEPLOYMENT TOPOLOGY

Connection diagram.

The connection diagram shows the DF-S10 wired into a customer network. Two redundant 10 GbE ports uplink to the management VLAN, where they reach every telemetry agent across the fleet. A dedicated 1 GbE port carries the operator UI onto the corporate network via a firewall. Local NVMe holds the hot time-series buffer; optional external NAS/S3 provides cold archive. A+B power feeds keep the appliance available during PDU maintenance. Use this diagram to plan VLAN segmentation and firewall policy.

Install the Datafabrix PCIe host adapter in your existing server. Connect via PCIe cable to the DF-S10 backplane uplink.

Populate the fabric

Insert NVMe drives, GPUs, or accelerators into hot-plug slots. Each device trains and appears as a native PCIe endpoint on the host.
